One thing I found out when my sister brought the cheap food is that the cats did not get
the nourishment (SP) from it and ended up eating more to get what she needed.  When I got
her a couple cases of the good stuff the cat ate less because I guess she got the
nourishment so did not to eate as much so had to buy less even though it was more
expensive.

My understanding is what you save in food bills you'll pay later in
higher vet bills.   My vet told me that we should use a good
quality food that is low in ash, not one of the supermarket brands.

i want to say all cat food are bad for your cat,it has corn in it
and that ,that my two housecats was on purina special diet for 12 yrs.
my nice cat,who i show in housepet classes at catshows,about a year ago
when every time i feed him,15 mins later -- he would up-chuck it back up
and he would do that every time,and it made him really sick and i almost
lost him,until i started checking on the internet about cat foods.
so anyway my cat has, inflammatory bowel disease,but he doing good now
until change his food to more of a heathly kind,that haas no corn in it
or no grains..
