We have a Russian Blue, 6 months old. First question is, how do we tell
wether the Ginger Tom from across the road has got to her? and secondly, we
have noticed that she has feelers on the rear of her front legs, just above
the first joint, is this normal?
Thanks in advanced.

When she starts to swell up with kittens, you can surely tell, but since
it's time to have her spayed anyway, go ahead and schedule the appointment
now and it won't be an issue. Since female cats can have kittens as young
as 5 months, it's imperative that you schedule the appointment right away,
especially if you are going to allow your cat outdoor access.

Probably DNA analysis of the tom, *all* the kittens, and possibly the
queen would be the only way to determine true parentage.
Yes, whisker-like hairs on the back of the front legs are normal, or
at least common. I don't see any on the cat at hand, but she's long
haired, but some of my cats have them. They are most easily seen on
the cats with the sleekest coats.
