Hello there,

Can anyone out help us.  8 months ago we got two adorable kittens, Molly and
Toby, Toby never seemed well from day one.  After weeks and weeks of
visiting the Vet we found out that he had FIP, sadly we had to have him put
to sleep.

Molly on the other hand is fine, she has turned out to be a beautiful cat. A
few weeks ago we went out to a local farm centre, and in a basket sat a
lovely looking Ginger Tom, we feel in love with him instantly.  In comes
Marmalade... who is just over 4 months old.  Marmalade has not been well
this week which has resulted in visiting the vet, to our shock he has also
got FIP.  They have put in on steroids to help with the immune system but
the outlook is not good.  We have been advised that Interferon may help, but
is very expensive, we are going to give it a go, CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP?

Regards - Kevin

There is little out there on FIP.  Unfortunately there also isn't a very
good way to diagnose.  The doctors can assume its FIP by a few indicators,
but it could be other things as well.  There have been cases where people
say doing interferon helped, but with the lack of a 100% sure diagnoses, you
can't be 100% sure it was FIP to begin with.

My sympathies, as I had one die of it as well.
