San Francisco, CA.

A rabid homosexual male was captured by police after biting 26 year
old Martin Wagner in the groin, causing severe injuries.  Wagner said
it was around 9pm, and he was walking home from the corner grocery
store, when this man came running out from between two apartment
buildings.  He said that this man then asked him if he is gay.

Wagner, a married heterosexual, said he was really shocked when this
man, who was foaming from the mouth, began making very rude, filthy
and perverted statements.

"I told him to get lost, or I'd call the police".  "That's when he
snarled and sunk his teeth into my groin", said Wagner.

Wagner was severely injured, and is being treated for his injuries and
receiving rabies treatment.  He will require plastic surgery to
restore his sexual organs to their previous condition, and doctors
only give him a twenty percent chance of being fertile in the future.

The rabid man, whose name is being withheld, is being held by police
with no bail, and doctors have determined that he is definately rabid.

DNA tests reveal that he has bitten other persons, and possibly
animals.  Local authorities are alerting the city to report all
injuries that appear to be bite marks on other people and on their
pets.

Then they will have to shoot him, because there is no cure for rabies.

That sounds like the best way to deal with this.  At least we get this
scum off the streets.

Why is he scum? Because he has rabies?

What has this got to do with dogs or cats?

A search of the, um, conventional press turned up no sign of
this story.  I have some doubts that this ever happened.

Yes, a human can be rabid. Amazingly enough, there are still a few human
fatalities from the disease every year.
I'm a little skeptical about this story, though. That's pretty sensational
news, and I think if it were for real, we'd have heard something about it
somewhere else in the media, don't you?

And my understanding is those deaths are related to someone being
bit by a radid dog and not getting the painful series of rabies shots
needed to rabies.   I've never heard of rabies coming from a human,
only from other animals.

Also my understanding is the human mouth has so many
germs etc. that a human bite is worse than some animal
bites.
