we brought in a mother cat and her 3 kittens . we found homes for 2 and are
keeping the one male and his mom. they are both tuxido cats. the mom is a am.
shorthair and the baby, now 3 months old, is half maine coon. he is so cute
but, BAD! we just love them. we also have a 11 yr. old yorkie and we breed
birds. our house is jumping ! all the animals, including us, get along really
well. the 2 cats both get "fixed" early sept. i'll be glad when that's done.
i'm so glad we did this. it really makes me feel we did a nice thing . thanks
for listening.

You did do a nice thing. Can you imagine the life those 4 cats would
have had if you hadn't brought them in. I sometimes wonder about
rescue cats. My Sasha was taken off the streets at about 6 months
old. Someone fostered her for a little while and then she spent several
months in a cage waiting for adoption. I see her sitting in her window
perch, eyes half closed, purring for no particular reason and wonder if
she is mentally thanking that person for taking the time to find her a
better
life.

Oh, what a great bit of news! Your house should be blessed with joy. I hope
you have such a good time with your new arrivals and that all of them live long
& happy lives!

How old will the mom be when you'll get her fixed?
My vet says it has to be five weeks after the kittens are born. Unless you
keep her inside she could well be pregnant again by then.

the mother cat will be spayed this month along with the male kitten we kept.
he kept nursing and the vet said to wait. the baby will be 4 months old so he
will do them both on the same day. i'll be glad when that's over and they're
healed up. i hate that day. the baby weighs over 4 pounds. he's mixed with
maine coon. he's beautiful. his mom's a cutie too. do i sound like a proud
grandma? i'm glad our yorkie likes them too. even my birds seem to get along
with them. i'm VERY careful. i'm an animal nut. guess you could tell that.
