Last night while I was reading I started reading out loud to see how
my cats would react. 3 jumped on the bed and started asking me if
I was talking to them and if not "Then What Was I Doing?

2 quickly got bored and went about their business but one stayed
upset and nuzzled her way to my face and started mildly trying to
bite my face and when I held the book between me and her she
started nipping at my hand and arm and telling me she doesn't like
me reading out loud. I finally quit and she became a happy cat again
and everything was fine after that.

I couldn't help but laugh when she was nipping at me. She's a good cat.

Thats pretty funny..

I like doing things like that to see their response.

I use a laser pointer to play with my cat.   Recently I decided to show him
where it comes from.. and how it works when my finger touched the button.

Thank goodness he still likes to play with it..

I'm going to try the reading aloud thing when he comes home from hospital...

Yeah, like you really know how to read.  You'll probably stumble over so
many of the words that you'll send the little bugger right back to the
hospital.  You're really dense.

Laser pointers are great toys as long as you are careful where you point
them - the cat should not be allowed to look straight at the light...

Yeah that's most of the cats' favorite. Since I had it on my keyring,
every time I went to pick up my keys, all the cats perk up and start
looking around.

Maybe they do not agree with your taste in reading material. Lol.

My cat nips too. She once or twice nipped me gently on the nose :)
