Hi..

My cat - Kurt Catbain - was brought to me as a stray.. I had actually put up
fliers looking for Mia, a female pregnant pussie who took off..  she never
ever returned, but I have been blessed with Kurt's company since some
neighbourhood kids brought him around in reply to my fliers.

Anyway, Kurt has been somewhat a "community cat" sharing his time between
four households.. a couple of which acutally used to allow him in to sleep
with them.

We've recently moved into an apartment, which Kurt has no access to the
ground.

We've been here for three weeks, and only yesterday did he start to explore
outside our own personal space.  He went next door and introduced himself to
our neighbour. Thank goodness she liked him!

I hope that Kurt will eventually get into a routine of leaving the house of
a morning when I go to work, and wait for me to come home (like other cats I
see around here) to let him back into the home..

or he will never scratch the grass again, and that saddens me as he loved it
so much...

has anyone else had any experiences that may help offer advice?

How about fitting a cat flap and leaving out dry food in the kitchen for
him?
