Has anyone heard that the Swifter mops are dangerous to cats? I just
had a hardwood floor put down and will need a way to clean it, but I
don't want to endanger my nine babies. Thanks.

This is a recent urban legend that has many of the hallmarks of a hoax
in its usual form which should be enough to arouse suspicion: "...
report is anonymous, secondhand and purely anecdotal, offering no
means of authenticating its central claim that three animals died as a
result of ingesting the Swiffer WetJet cleaning solution ...".
When encountering these sorts of rumors, it is advisable - if you are
tempted to believe them - to check them at one of the many urban
legends / urban myths web sites.
The P&G and ASPCA responses to this hoax can be found at
<http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_swiffer_wetjet.htm> and many
other places.
