Purina DM is "Diabetes Management", a high-protein food. I fed that to
our diabetic cat.
Are you sure it's not Purina OM ("Overweight Management"), the
restricted calorie food?

It's also lower in carbs which is what puts the weight on cats. I
don't think Purina DM for weight management is out of the question
as long as it is measured.

The vet prescribed DM Diabetes Management food and told us
the food was going to be renamed as a weight management
food.
