Hi, can anyone give me sugestions on the care of my cat who suffers from
cancer and is getting skinier each day?
Thanks in advance,

Lordy, that's a tough one. I've lost three cats to cancer in the last five
years, and all three were affected with FIV and/or FeLuk.
I spent more than $2000 on the first one, hoping that radiation treatments
would help him; but it taught me a valuable/expensive lesson: Don't do it.
The best thing you can do is make the cat as comfortable as possible and
enjoy being as close as you can for as long as you can. Each of mine just
continued to lose weight gradually and eventually demonstrated measurable
discomfort that severely affected their quality of life. At that point, I
made the tough decision to end their existence.
Depending on where the cancer is will determine when you will have to make
that same decision.

Hi Geno-
I also have had to have a couple of cats put to sleep due to cancer.
Poor darlings.
It's a tough decision to make, I know, and an agonizing one, but I HAD
to consider whose feelings were most important - mine or my cat, who was
suffering from it.....
I made the decision to release the Kitty. and when this happened, (twice
here) they were buried, and I still miss the little sweeties. But I also
know we'll be reunited later on.
God bless.

Without knowing the form of cancer and where it is in the cat, nobody
can really give you any advice.

I just saw this today.
Honestly, the KINDEST thing you can do is have Kitty put to sleep to ease
her suffering. Starving to death is also very slow and painful, and Kitty
is going through enough right now.
If you love her, release her from her pain, please.
