I ordered a bunch of cat food on sale.
Friskies for 25 cents a can. I'm wondering
how long it can sit in a warm garage or
a refrigerated house without going bad.

Thanks. I'm supposed to pick it up
today.

The cans should have expiration dates on them; check those.

The cans did have dates on them. I just couldn't see
them... little dots made by computer-like printer. The
expiration date is out a couple of years.
Thanks

There doesn't  seem to be an
expiration or 'use by' date on
the cans.

From where did you obtain this food? Was it in its shipping boxes? If
so, were there dates on those?

Most canned goods can be stored for about 18 months. Check to see if there
is a "best before date" somewhere on the can. On the bottom of the cans I
just bought, I see they are good until Nov 2005.

How warm is your garage? Temperature is critical when it comes to canned
foods. The ideal temperature for storing canned foods is 50F - 70F. If your
garage gets warmer than 70F, this is not the right place for storage.
