We got our second cat last February with the thought in the back of our
minds that the first cat would have a companion - but it just didn't seem to
work out. They accepted each other, lived alongside, but that was about it.
Sometimes the first cat would attempt to play because he's extremely active,
but he only got swatted and hissed at. I was eventually content that they
didn't fight after all. But today it worked out all of a sudden after a few
bad attempts: At the end the two cats were racing like crazy through the
garden for a full hour and attacking from underneath bushes. I even had to
hold the dog back who thought she had to intervene. It was real joy to watch
them. Now the next step is waiting for the two to cuddle up to each other,
but I guess it will have to be cold winter first...

Heck, for only four months or so together, it sounds like they're
getting along pretty well. ;-)
