Hi,
Friends of mine will lose their security deposit because of urine odor.  Is
there anyone out there that knows a sure fire way to neutralize cat urine
odor or at least reduce the intensity.  If you have a few suggestions they
could try them all.
Your help is appreciated.

What is smelly? A carpet? Then rip it out.

Look in your yellow pages, or call a local carpet dealer and get the name of a
professional odor removal business if you're serious about it. Which will
probably cost more than the deposit.
Or get some enzyme cleaner, and apply according to directions with a carpet
cleaner. Nature's Miracle, ODO-KLEEN, and Simple Solutions are a few. You have
to kill the bacteria that's causing the odor, or it will just come back. So
don't bother with cover-ups like Febreeze, etc.
It just depends on how bad it is. If it's bad, and soaked to the pad of the
carpet, there's not a lot you can do besides pull up the carpet.
