Hi. I'm wondering how I go about finding cat shows in my area (Puget Sound
area). I have never been to a cat show before. Do you get to interact with
the cats at all?
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure where Puget Sound is...but if you're in the US, you can find a
complete listing of CFA cat shows in the back of Cat Fancy Magazine. Cat shows
are interesting if you like to see the different breeds. But, no, you don't
interact with the cats at all. There's a strict, strict rule among show people
-- look but don't touch!! But usually also, they let rescue groups have an area
to bring cats available for adoption. You can get your quota of kitty-hugs
there!

FYI - Puget Sound is in the Washington State area north of Seattle. You ought to visit there -
beautiful country!

There's a monthly listing of cat shows in the back of Cat Fancy magazine
too.
