An international animal rights group has asked Georgetown police to
investigate the death of two kittens it says were crushed by workers at
the city's Toyota plant.
An eyewitness whistleblower told People for the Ethical Treatment of
Animals that Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky employees deliberately
caused the mutilation and death of the cats around 6 p.m. on June 2 in the
seat dock area of Plant 1. PETA officials declined to release the witness'
name.
A TMMK worker said, "If it came down to (one) minute of down time for the
assembly line and the kitten, the kitten would lose," the eyewitness
reported to PETA.
