Hello Everyone,
I was getting ready for work this morning, when I noticed that one of my
girls had decided to poop on the floor.
I am not sure which one did, but my cuddle buggy sure looked guilty, so I
took her to the poop and put her nose close to it and asked her what this
is, she cried I and I let her go. I am sure it was Cuddle and not Puss
I am not sure why one of them would do this out of the blue. The litter box
was and is fairly clean. The only thing I can think of is that the hubby is
away and he usually gives Puss (the other girl), the juice from the tuna we
use for sandwiches, this morning, I used salmon and gave Puss it myself,
after squeezing the tin, and spraying Puss and the floor, I did manage to
slues out some in the dish.
Puss is daddy;s girl, cuddle buggy is mommy's. I am wonder if because I gave
Puss the juice, cuddle buggy got jealous, or is something else. She has not
other signs of illness or anything. This is not normal behavior for them.
Just thought I would ask to see if anyone had any similar experiences.
Thanks Eve

Hi Eve,
I know this sounds gross, but sometimes my kitty has has some poop that is
kind of stuck to her by some little strings of fur... i.e. the fur is still
in her butt, and the poop isn't. This has also happened to my dog with
grass. So, they drag it around for awhile until the piece of whatever is
stuck to the b.m. finally comes out. Yuck. Maybe that's what happened
with your kittty. Both of my pets get very agitated when this happens and
run around like something is chasing them... which it sort of is, I guess.
Just a possiblity....

FYI.. putting her nose in it isn't going to help her learn anything. Cats
don't have that kind of memory.
The number one reason for improper elimination is a medical issue. The
second is behavioral. If it keeps happening, I would recommend a trip to
the vet.

Do you check the cans before opening them to make sure there is no
bulge? Sometimes can can leak and the food within will spoil. This
would make the cats sick. IMO the Juice could contain too much salt.

Cats do not always have the best aim. It could have simply been a misfire.
Watch for a pattern. My Indiana Jones stands and shoots cannon balls clear
over the edge of the box. Then he is nonplussed when he cannot find his
leavings and cover them up.

My cats forget to put the lid back down and my wife blames it on me.

Yeah thats dangerous when you forget your condom.
> Watch for a pattern.
The lid is always left up but the cats always flush. Is that a pattern?
