Hi guys,

Well I am a senior poster here and I know this post may cause some arguments
but pls understand that I have no option but to resort to this.

My QT got run over 5 yrs ago. My cats are indoor since and I have written
many posts and have many arguments in cat newsgroups as to why cats should
be indoor cats. So that is to clear what I am about.

However

I rescued a cat (Sparky) from someone few months ago and my neighbors
adopted him. For one reason or the other he has been staying with me and is
due to go there any day now. My neighbors are wonderful people who adore
their cats, and have helped and took in many cats over the last 30 years.
Their current 4 cats are outdoor and have a cat flap. For Sparkie to be
indoor only will be impossible. We tried, keeping the cat flap locked, but
Barney(the biggest one) headbutted it so much not being used to locked cat
flap, that he eventually broke it. So that's not gonna work.

I can;t keep Sparkie, so the only other option is for me to train him how to
NOT go on the road, or run like hell when he sees the car. I wondered if
anybody has done similar training. I know that Guide Dogs get training like
this but cannot remember how it's done. Please if you have any ideas of how
to train him, or any web links let me know.

And please refrain from hate/argumentative posts, I wish I could keep him,
or keep him indoors, but it's simply impossible. So I just wanna do my best
for the little one. He is about a year old and a sweetheart.

Thanks
Gee

I once heard that a man had a similar problem, so he got his friend to get
in a car
and the owner held the cat as soon as the car came close he threw the cat in
front of the car
and his friend slammed on brakes so hard. That apparently scared the cat
forever.
He did this to a few of his cats and he swears by it.

I personally would never do it because if you the cat over by accident, then
how would you feel??
Not a good idea in my opinion.

Now this is an idiotic posting.  Why in the world would you want to train a
cat to not be afraid of cars?  It seems to me this twit of a woman would
want just the opposite.

Like I said the other day, everyone is different.

It's OK Geno. It doesn't mean it's idiotic just becuse you didn't post it

Well, it would help your reply if you read the post you are REPLYING TO
first!

It;'s not nice calling your mother names honey.

Yeah, we do notice this in your replies lately

??????? How on earth did you get to this conclusion??????? Aah, you are
kidding of course. You must be. Or you are feverish.

Which tune did I change exactly? I said nothing I didn;t before, nor have I
changed any tunes so I as usual you are either jumping to conclusions,
jumping the gun, or just plainly don't understand or have not read the
posting. You pick.

As for "idiotic posting"... YOU not understanding what I am talking about,
doesn;t make MY post idiotic...

Training a cat to be afraid of cars is the most mindless idiotic post I've ever
seen.   Just throw your damn cat off a roof or something and get on with it.
This line of posts make me sick.  Here kitty kitty kitty.
You're an ignoramus and you deserve to be flamed and to have to put up with
posts like mine.

Your cat deserves better than to have such a fool like you for a companion.
Please give it up to someone with more than a kindergarten education.

Whoop!  What a hoot!

Actually, the posting subject was training a cat NOT to be afraid of cars;
but the idiocy is comparable.

I guess I missed the word NOT.  Nice satire of the other post.

No, it's not. It's this one you just written. I have MORE THEN CLEARLY for
those with SOME intelligence explained why, how when and where, so if you
didn't figure it out, don't send idiotic replies to my or other people's
posts.

I have asked for help and gave detailed explanations. I have also asked
those like you to refrain from idiotic and useless hate posts, so I can see
you obviously can't read a simple instructions.

>  Just throw your damn cat off a roof or something and get on with it.

Nice advice. And you call yourself a cat lover? Troll more like it.

> This line of posts make me sick.

So true. Hate-posts like yours, Brenchleys and Geno's definitely deserve to
be ignored.

> You're an ignoramus and you deserve to be flamed and to have to put up

Perhaps you can't read? I dunno. I suggest going back to school. Like I said
already I explained all the details in my post (apart from making a mistake
in title which I BLATANTLY clarified in the post), why when where and how,
and just because YOU didn;t understand it and have no people skills as to
how to help and when is the good time to talk and when to shuddup, you are
turning nasty on a wrong person, at the wrong time. If you don't stop
behaving like Brenchley you will be killfiled like Brenchley. I don;t have
to time for humans like you, and trust me I do not need to put up with you,
Gene and Brenchley.

> Your cat deserves better than to have such a fool like you for a companion.

At least I love my cats enough to try and help them, even when it means
listening to unhelpful name calling so and sos like you. You are obviously
here only to create trouble. And we all know what happens to trolls.

> Please give it up to someone with more than a kindergarten education.

And this from a man who cannot read simple instructions?? He he.
But to reply, unfortunately for you I can't do that. See, me and all the
people I know are university educated. Have any other unhelpful and useless
advice?

The title is suppose to say :

"Training a cat TO BE afraid of cars"

Of course those who have read the full post, will OBVIOUSLY and EASILY
realise what I really meant. (Not a brain surgery Geno and Govtlawyer).

Well, it's really not hard to write online if you get your head out of your
a.s and watch the little letters that come up on the screen.

Like I said, understanding my post title was a simple mistake was not a
brain surgery Geno, but, obviously, it;s too hard for you to comprehend the
concept of a typo, or many other concepts for that matter, like people
skills for example. Hence you resorting to abuse. Keep going, you are only
making yourself less credible and risk being killfiled not just by me. So
really, its all up to you. When are you gonna learn?

<sigh>
