The cat *seems* okay -- he gets up and starts running away as the dumb bitch in the corner runs toward him. I can't imagine who the hell would set that up for their cat to do that. He jumped into the ceiling fan. In mexico they don't have safety blades, autostop motors. They have sharp metal blades that don't stop when they hit something. He nailed himself in the eye, went to a Mexican hospital. They told him they would sew his eye shut and he'd be blind. Thankfully daddy is super rich and sent a jet with medical team down to treat him. He had a nasty scar but saved his eye. Anyway while he was in the Mexican hospital the doctor said he was lucky. A father was throwing his baby up in the air just playing. Baby hit the fan, horrible accident and dead. What if that wasn't a US made safety fan. Isn't it weird that we laugh at our own species getting hurt, but we're horrified when the same happens to another animal? Case in point: jurassic park. Most people laughed when the lawyer got plucked off the toilet by the t-rex, but many of those same people were horrified when the dog got eaten in the Lost World. My theory is that animals (particularly pet animals like dogs and cats) are seen as helpless and innocent, which sparks our protective instincts. Almost as if, in a way, we see them as children. If it were my cat then yes I would be freaked out by it, but if I saw the cat was ok afterward then I would still laugh at it. I've owned cats all of my life and I've seen them get into all kinds of stupid situations some funny and some not. There is a very good reason for the clich?: Curiosity killed the cat... My friend had a cat that loved to sleep on the tv (I guess it liked the warmth or something) but it could never stay on for long. It could keep its balance as long as it was awake, but the second it fell asleep it would fall off. My cats love sleeping on the hood of my car in the driveway. They love it when I just get home after driving around; It's all nice and warm. It's kind of funny seeing little kitty paw prints on the hood and on my windshield. When I was a kid I had a cat that crawled up into my neighbor's car engine one winter. That's one of the not so funny situations that cats get themselves into. I had to bury that cat in the frozen ground with tears freezing to my face. I'm still scared that my cats will do that, so every time I go to start my car I'll give the hood a few knocks first just in case there is anything sleeping under there. SignatureSpleeph.
