Hi there,

My cat has recently had her first (lol, and only) litter of 4 kittens (3
weeks ago). Everything seems fine with the newborns and the mother seems
fine and is adopting to her new role of mum very well.

My only concern is a strange smell that seems to eminate from the mother,
not really a 'No.2' smell, but not pleasant. I'm planning to take the whole
familly to the vet for a checkup in 1 weeks time, but wondered if anybody
here could give me any pointers to the possible cause of the odour, is it
normal ?

Many Thanks.

Being a Vet Assistance, the odor does not sound normal unless its cancer
or another kind of disease. My advice is to get her & babies to a vet
ASAP.
