Have you ever come home to find that your pet sitter do more than just pet
sit ?

Absolutely.  My pet sitter is wonderful.  She does all things that could
even be "remotely" considered pet sitting (comes twice a day, puts out fresh
food and water each time, washes the cat dishes between uses, cleans litter,
brushes my cats, plays with them, etc.).  She also writes a short daily log
so I can see exactly how they reacted each day.  Beyond all that, she waters
my plants, brings in my mail and newspapers, turns on different lights to
give the house a "lived-in" look, and offered to do anything that she could
to help.  She is a real gem, and I have complete confidence in her!  (...but
being a paranoid worrywart about my furry twosome, I also called her every
couple of days when I was on vacation last summer)

Does she happen to be in Europe in July/August? ;-)

I'm sure she would love to spend some time in Europe pet sitting, but you
might find the "transportation fee" a bit intimidating.  ;-)

I am talking more about things like doing laundry, changing bed linen etc.

Have you?

Yes.
I think the person either stayed the night (or 2 ) and was trying to cover
their tracks, or was just having a large nosey around the house.

I could understand if the sitter was just wanting to tidy the place but
there were more obvious things needed done, than some of the things that
were performed.  I don't want to go into too much detail of what was done,
everytime I think of it it just makes my skin crawl.
