Haven't seent it, and from the discussion here, I don't want to see it.
Coould someone who has seen it give us a brief idea of what we're
"missing." Please spare the gory details.

Oh dear oh dear you poor over sensitive little soul. So you would like one
of us to look at it for you and report back "less the gory details" would
you?
My bet is that you have already looked at the advert which incidentally I
find mildly amusing, for the simple reason that like the cat in question
your curiosity got the better of you.
If on the other hand you didn't take a sneaky look then a cat gets
decapitated while looking through the sun roof of a Ka. To spare you any
more discomfort and sleepless nights over this there is no gore or blood to
be seen.
Now from that description I expect you are horrified at this and a mental
picture that you are now painting is 100 times worse than the actual advert
so take your courage in both hands and force yourself to have a little peek
at what us Europeans find amusing and lighten up in the process. You will
thank me in the morning after a good nights sleep and wonder what all the
fuss was about. Get your Mum to hold your hand while you look, if that will
help.
Jesus, what is wrong with you all..... ITS AN ADVERT, not real .... get it??
It's also a good advert in respect of not letting cats roam. You never know
what is lurking round the corner ..... BOO!!

So, Daz please explain how the commercial was made without injuring/killing
the cat? You say that it's only an ad but it's ads like these ones that give
out poor misguided youths ideas about what is acceptable in todays society.
Unfortunately when I recieved the disgusting email which had no warning
before opening it , my two small children saw it and were deeply disturbed.
If it's just an ad then why would you say it has disturbed so many people.
Would you find it so amusing if it were on the 6 o'clock news and your
children saw it? It really comes down to what kind of sense of humor you have,
you are either a sicko or your not!!!

It was done just like any movie that is using computer graphics. Nobody hurt
the cat. They just shot it on a green background and then replaced this
background with anything they want.

Not the point Mike! Regardless of wheather the cat was or was not hurt it is
the actual message that he ad is sending. I can't understand why it's all
about if the cat was harmed or not, it's about why an image like that would
be found funny in the first place. Would it be so funny if the cat was
replaced infront of the green screen with a child? It's the message that is
being sent out that this is supposed to be humorous! If we don't stand up and
let these idiots know that we do not find this kind of humor acceptable then
the boundarys are getting wider and wider. It really comes down to where we
want our society to go, down the tiolet or towards compasion and
understanding.
