Harmful? Not?
All kinds of wild birds have been availing themselves of the kibble I
leave for my feral colony.
I know that processed human food is bad for wild birds because the salt
therein can cause peptic ulcers. What about processed cat food?
TIA for any reasoned, on topic response.

I have the same problem only with Friskies dry. I started feeding the birds which
attracted a couple strays so I started putting out dry Friskies for the strays hoping they
would eat that and not the birds :-( In the process the cat food started attracting the
neighbor's cats (SP) of which one has 7 and the other 2. I would stop feeding the birds
and cats but the cold weather is starting in Michigan and don't want to stop feeding birds
and squirrels this time of year cause it is kind of late to start making them fend for
themselves so I guess I am stuck feeding the neighbos cats til next spring when I am done
feeding them all. Hopefully I can befriend the couple strays and rehome them or take them
to the shelter before winter.

In rec.birds this item has been mentioned. I believe the general
consensus was that there's not really any harm done.
You could go there and ask. It's been awhile since anyone mentioned
it, iirc. (rec.birds is a group for birdwatchers and backyard
birdwatchers)
