Urgent! Our plans fell through and Lizzy & Phee need a loving home for
4 months!
We have 2 affection hungry, very cute cats - Phee is a orange male
tabby and Lizzy is a Maine Coon female. They are both healthy, indoor
cats and have been fixed and received all their immunizations.
My wife and I will be backpacking in South America from October 1st
till Jan 30th and are seeking a loving home for our babies while we
are on the road. We had made previous arrangements for them that just
totally fell through this past weekend.
They have made the transition into a kitty-sitting home successfully
before - last time for almost 9 months. They have moved with us
before, including internationally, and have lived well with dogs and
other cats - they are very adaptable and seem to like new and exciting
things as much as we do!
ALL expenses paid + reasonable monthly fee (or equivalent donation to
ASPCA). We are located in NYC, so we can probably bring them anywhere
in the Northeast region if need be.
We will be leaving New York Sept 30th, so please, please respond ASAP
if you are interested in taking care of Lizzy & Phee while we are
gone.
Thanks a lot!!!

Your lifestyle clearly is not suitable for having pets, and neither are
you. You don't take responsibility for the lives of animals and then
drop them off with strangers for 4-9 months at a time while you're off
walking around on a mountain somewhere. Find these cats a home with
someone that enjoys their company and cares enough to want to be with
them.

"Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one
elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and
splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then
providence moves too. A whole stream of events issues from the decision,
raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and
material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his
way."
