hi,
My cat is having problems with her hindlegs. The vet first thought it was a
bruise and gave her a cortisone shot, but she was only fine for a few days.
After that he x-rayed her to check for a spinal injury, but that wasn't it.
He then suggested I take her to a specialist to look for a possible tumor.
The problem is that the tests alone cost hundreds of dollars, let alone the
treatment or surgery. I am still hoping it's a bruise and I'm giving her
time to self-heal, since she still eats normally - eventhough she's not
using the litter box properly. I don't see any progress however, and I hate
to have to put her to sleep. If anyone out there is willing to adopt her
and give her the medical care she needs, please e-mail me privately.
thanks
Hala

It sounds like a blood clot. That can cause temporary loss of the use of the
hind legs. She needs immediate care I think. Try posting to the cat health
group. Maybe they have better ideas.
