Our vet recently told us that our 14 year old calico cat has to get one
of her thyroids out. Has anyone had this procedure done on their cat?
and what can i expect to happen?

Not an expert on feline anatomy but assuming it's basically similar to
Human anatomy. There is only one thyroid gland however ask the vet if
they meant parathyroid gland. There are 4 of those located in the
corners of the thyroid
