I have a very overweight cat that developed fatty liver, possibly
because I put him on too strict a diet.  I took Smokey to the vet, and
after a week on fluids and medication, his liver readings looked close
to normal. The problem is he still won't eat.  Every day, I force feed
him food, water and medicine.  I am giving him his regular food of
Iams.  I am feed him six to ten pellets, every four or five hours.  He
has trouble keeping the food down, and has constant diarrhea  Anyone
have any ideas?  Please email me.

You're force-feeding him pellets, as in dry food? Maybe you should try
something else. We had good luck with baby food (turkey) force-feeding. I'm not
sure how your cat would be able to digest it or keep it down though. The vett
recommended a Hill's prescription canned, but he hated it.
Did your vet have any advice about the vomiting/diarrhea?

Good luck with Smokey.  I wish I had some suggestions on what to do.  There
are some good articles and posts that were made to the group regarding
Shadow and I think Nico.  You may want to do a search and see if you can
track them down.

I will keep Smokey in my thoughts.  Keep us posted on his progress.
