My sister has this beautiful cat that was just diagnosed with
Lymphoma. Unfortunately, the veterinarian told my sister that TJ (his
name) has only three to four months to live. I want to ask for your
help with ideas, recommendations and suggestions to prolong his life.
I gave TJ to my sister and I cannot stand by and not try to help.
He does not seem to be in any pain, but he will not eat and is losing
weight. This cat has always had an enormous appetite and I want to
know what to feed him. I need to find something that he will want to
eat. The other day my sister was eating a donut and when she dropped
a crumb he ate it. She was so excited that he ate something that she
let him eat the rest, which he did.
Also, if anyone has any homeopathic/holistic suggestions that can
prolong his life please let me know.
Thank you
Laura

Basically let him eat whatever we will eat. Try different kinds of
canned cat food.
I recenly had good luck with Purina diabetic diet (D/M) sold by vets.
I also had luck with canned kitten food and roasted turkey thighs with
a little garluic on them.
Best of luck to you and your kitty.

Are there any veterinary oncologists in your sister's area? I'd
highly recommend that she take the cat to see one. I did, and I don't
regret a second of it, since I ended up having my Alex for two more
years as a result.

P.S. Google this newsgroup for a thread entitled, "Weird nutrition
question about Alex"; it's from January of 2002, but I got some great
suggestions when I was going through the same thing with him.
