Hello, dear cat owners!
I have encountered
the following problem while potty-traning my cat Motiy: he pees in the
metal bowl placed in the toilet (the bowl then should be taken out so
that the cat can use the toilet) but poops in the bath tub. When I
first started the training, Motiy did everything right, but as time
went by, he started preferring the bath tub instead of the toilet.
Please help to reteach my cat!
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

Perhaps he doesn't like to perch precariously on the edge of a toilet to
go #2. It can't be very comfortable.
If you must have your cat use the toilet instead of a normal litterbox,
try giving him a better surface to stand on.

This is a newsgroup where we share responses.
I think you've created yourself a problem, particulary if your cat was
at one time using the litter box without an issue.
Training the cat to use the toilet benefits only the humans who no
longer have to supply a litter box, clean it out and resupply it with
litter. It doesn't benefit the cat who has for thousands of years done
their business in the dirt then covered it up

<snip story of failing attempt to toilet train a cat>
Your cat is TELLING YOU he wants a litterbox and behaviorists agree that
toilet training cats is a bad idea. Making a cat use a human toilet goes
completely against their instincts and is wrong. Stop torturing your cat
by trying to focre him to do something he doesn't want to do and accept
the fact that you will have litterbox duty twice a day. Honestly, is
the few minutes a day it takes to scoop a litterbox that inconvenient
for you.? If so then it would be better if you find your cat a home with
someone that is willing to expend the effort to properly care for him.

However, someone at one time trained that pussy (skank) "Brandy
Alexandre" to use the toilet... so perhaps there is hope. ;-)
