Cat Brush

Does anyone have a really good cat brush?  If so, can you tell me what
kind and where you got it?  I've been using a human brush from the drug
store that has metal prongs with tiny plastic beads on the end.  The
cats love it, but the prongs are so far apart that it doesn't seem to
pick up their loose hair (they are short hair kitties)very well.  One
of my cats is partially bald with scar tissue on her back due to a burn
(I think) before she moved in with us, so I don't want anything in the
least harsh on their skin.

Thanks.   Sherry

I use a brush that's in the shape of a rake. One has longer tines and
was used on Pudge the medium hair with an undercoat. The shorter-tined
one I use on Hodge; the one veterinarian says he has medium hair, but he
can't stand the longer tines (not that he likes the short ones, lol),
presumably partly because he lacks an undercoat. At any rate, it removes
a lot of loose fur, and most cats (except Hodge) like it. Hodge is not
fond of anything touching him except on the face, but sometimes I brush
him briefly anyone because he does shed like mad and gets hairballs.

Perhaps Hodge would prefer the Love Glove.  It does pick up a lot of hair.
There are several brands.  MLB

Not if it involves being touched! ;)

Of course I am going to recommend a metal grooming comb. ;)  But the
Zoom Groom might be the ticket.  Or any short-toothed brush where the
bristles aren't lined up - rather are dispersed across the face of the
brush.  The ones for humans with the plastic beads on the tips are the
ones I like, as well.  They make them in metal and plastic.
