I have found a stray cat which is either pregnant or nursing.  How can I
tell which?  It's nipples are swollen but it's belly is not pendulous.

Do the nipples look chewed own, sort of misshapen? Our also, our mother
cat lost hair all around each nipple when the kittens were nursing. They
were tough on her.

If her belly is not swollen, she's probably already had them.
