From this point forward I'll no longer take part in your games of pin the
tail on the a.s.  All posts from me will be cat related, unless provoked for
one reason or another.

Let's see how many of you get bored :)

This morning as I was waking I stretched in my bed and immediately Squirrel
did the exact same thing.  I have a single bed I share with a dog and three
cats :)

What type of dog do you have? My dog is a mixture dog and he only
weighs 5lbs so he
doesn't take up much room:)

That's a  mix! I wonder if his lab side comes into conflict with  his
terrier side.
I like mixture dogs, they original :)

He has a very gentle personality and loves people very much, he loves the
outside and is in fairly good health, a heart murmur and allergies but his
vet says for 16 he's in amazing shape.  He still looks like a puppy (it's
because of his mix) so many think he's about 5 months.  He's smart like a
terrier and hyper as one also.  The only problem we've ever encountered is
when we had our white cat, he'd try to nip his neck at times.  We think he
thought the cat was prey, but we quickly got him out of that.

He's very sweet, and his vet calls him the weird little dog because as he
puts it, he's never seen a dog that was so stubborn in his life, he says he
has his own way of doing things.

I think the lab site is what keeps him from bouncing off the walls. :)

Thanks for asking, I love talking about him, I've had him since he was 2
weeks old, so I'm very attached to him.

2 weeks !  How did that come about ?  That's a good age and theres
no reason
why he shouldn't be with you for a lot longer. My last dog lived until
she was 18,
she was terrier x too.  She wound down slowly and one day I had to let
her go.
I still miss her but I love Dibby too.

It's a long story so I'll try to shorten it, someone (landlord at the time)
thought she could buy friends if she had a puppy to attract attention.  So
she goes to a family and gets a puppy, the family was hapy to see him go,
this was redneck country.  The this same someone decides its ok for puppy to
spend all his time in a box on the front steps, cause puppy or not this
person wasn't making friends.  I was appalled at this and took the puppy in
and cared for him.  It was out of town and I was renting her house for the
summer for a work term.  So he became mine and I did the whole bit with him,
bottle feeding, mushy food, vet visits, vaccinations, etc.  He wasn't mine
at the time, he still officially belonged to her, I just wanted the best for
the dog, but when the job was over at the end of the summer, I approached
her and said I wanted to keep him. A great deal of bargaining later and he
was mine.  He was the only pup to survive the litter, all the others died
before they were two months old.

When I was a child I had a German Shepherd (Brownie), I'll never forget her,
we were inseparable.  I was waiting to finish university before getting a
dog but fate had other plans :)  Thankfully.  He's my boy lol.

I think he's got a few more years in him yet, he's a very relaxed dog in the
sense that not much bothers him and he still loves to play.

18 is along time, I hope Maggot makes it to that age, so far it looks quite
possible.  lol He's so curious, he wouldn't want to miss anything, he'll
stick around for the ride.

I wish I could have a dog....But I'm out too late and I don't want to pay
every day for a dogwalker..plus, I don't think dogs can handle being alone
like cats....and my cat would terrorize any competition for my affection,
anyway!

That's a responsible attitude:) I used to do the ivillage puppy
forum but got upset
at all the people leaving their young  puppies alone all day:(
