Had a nice little chat with my ISP in Boulder.
They asked me to tone it down a bit on anecdotes.
I say no problem...then I go, wait...

That is the message I got from Easynews, too. They don't want to deal
with a bunch of whiners, and who can blame them? They have real
issues to contend with.
From now on, my rpca posts are going to be unimpeachable, "Tweaker's
Big Day" type stuff.

I have always kept my offer open, but I am not the only one here who
could and would provide Conan with a fine home.

Email a press kit... a digest of key posts, and a summary of the
story. Rip off the summary on my web link if you can use it:
www.geocities.com/wallofgrays/conan.htm
Keep it really short and invite them to visit the group. Put together
a list of emails of people who they can contact.

If the admins are starting to follow the story because of complaints,
that is a sign this is ripe for feature coverage.
I would start with some techie news services etc.

Are you two serious? I am appalled that someone is trying to get your
accounts yanked. I didn't know any ISP cared anymore; some crazy lady
from Wichita (about 2 hours away) got mad at me on a Usenet group and
started physically stalking me, and her ISP didn't give a rat's a.s. So
I'm completely stunned that some differing opinions on a cat group would
cause your ISP to investigate you. That's bizarre.

I don't know that there's much of a story here. A group of
Internetters tried to rescue a shelter cat but it didn't quite go as
planned. Cat is presumably fine and waiting for a home. That's about
it, really, the rest wouldn't be of any interest to the public at large.

That's weird someone stalking you. Wow! Yes, there are nuts out there.
Mr Adelphia, told me, "I don't know why they complain, he goes:
This is what a killfile is for. They don't have to read it!
And he acknowledged I did not draw first blood.
That's when we started reading the same thread. LOL
He was head of his department, he talked about his staff.

Maybe a doctoral student in social behaviour....

I'm not appalled nor am I particularly surprised. Just look in on this
"tale" from an outsider perspective.

That's the light-headedness from the blood loss again, you're starting
to have an out of body experience. Time to change the tampon.

I'm just amazed that you claim your ISP in this day and age actually
gives a crap about what you post to Usenet. I don't think I've seen
someone TOS'd since the turn of the century.

The anecdotes folks and our good friend Psycho Lynnie, Jonathan's
Mom are very big on netcopping. Bellsouth just laughs at them.
However, one day those tactics will bite the anecdotes folks in
the butt. I am beginning to feel like it should, too.

I've got a good counter-tactic worked out.

I got TOS'd just the other day, sort of. Easynews temporarily
suspended my posting priveleges for posting a link to erotica to a
non-erotica newsgroup.
They got a flood of complaints from net-ninnies in rcpa.

This does not bode well for them, I am afraid. They have
a false sense of power. Never good. :)

This THREAD may well be a fabrication.
