Monica is in Canada. Dan just took the cat to a kennel around the corner
from his house, but is allowing Monica to dictate who adopts him. As far
as I can tell Dan has not even been to see Conan since June 29. He said
he would take him to Greg in San Diego. Instead, he put him in the kennel
and there he sits on July11.

That's just great. Why don't you try Craigslist, too? I'm sure millions
of people will e-mail *Canada* to inquire about a cat. Well, now we
know. No leads whatsoever. Thank you, experienced cat rescuers for
showing us all how it's done.

And I liked his old name better :>

Maybe you should go back to the old plan and try to get the cat into a
no-kill shelter. I think his chances would be better and hey, if Greg
in San Diego hasn't surrendered to the insanity - he could go adopt him

F^ck, this is very troubling that they are now advertising in the
*paper* for the poor cat.  I'm sure this is all becoming very expensive
for them, with his board and ads who-knows-where.  Poor little guy, it
shouldn't be this hard to place a cat.  I hope they are not going to
start compromising their principles and just give him to the first
person who contacts them...if anyone does.

Yeah, Greg in SD sounds pretty good but I thought Mary said he got
another cat...as did Meghan's sister.  Poor Conan aka Dylan.  I wonder
what prompted the name change and how they arrived at it.  They must
have decided "Conan" did not have the correct connotations and "Dylan"
is more marketable.  Personally, I thought Conan was kind of cute.  Not
that the name matters, it's just a curiosity...

What really p*sses me off is that Mary, and several others laid the
money out for the whole thing. They even had a home lined up. It was
all green lights.

Time is now past that we should be seeing pictures of Dylan already
settled in his new Home. Never more to Roam.

And, we had to listen to you continually asking what was being done to
get the cat out, starting with the cat being in the shelter for 3 hours
after ***YOU*** put him there.

Now, the cat has been sitting somewhere for over 2 weeks, un adopted,
and you are mysteriously silent about this. Why aren't you harping on
the "other" side for not moving fast enough?

Payback is a bitch ... isn't it.  By the time I returned Conan,
there were no less than 8 of you in my killfile for your lousy

Because I know what you want to know ... and Mary has been
filling your heads with all the rest as fast and furiously as she
can concoct it.

You people are owed NO EXPLANATION at all.  ZIP.  Lick your
wounds of failure and move on.

OK, excuse me while I try to pretend that you're sane... but can you
explain just what in the hell your killfile has to do with anything?
And are you saying that you took Conan back to the shelter, not caring
if he was going to be put to death or not, just as "payback" for some
people on Usenet who hurt your feelings?

Yes, thanks for the incessant "I've got a secret, neener neener" posts
you've been writing for days now.  I bet a lot of people on here don't
believe you, though.  I know I sure don't.  Why should anyone believe
you?  You're acting like a 10 year old who claims to have some really
exciting secret but is just lying for the attention.

>You people are owed NO EXPLANATION at all.  ZIP.  Lick your

You are the failure, Philip.  You were either incredibly clueless or
outright lying about Conan's health, you obviously didn't care if he was
killed or not even though he shared a home with you for a short while,
and now you're acting like the puppetmaster trying to pull everyone's
strings.  You're just a common, garden-variety troll with a hint of kook
thrown in, the kind found all over Usenet.  Frankly, I wish people would
stop responding to you at all, and that includes myself, as of right
now.  My guess is that once everyone moves on and stops giving you all
this attention, you'll wither up and blow away.  Couldn't happen to a
nicer fella.
I'm sorry that my killfile filters Phil when I killfile you, but it's
just going to have to be that way.

That's exactly what he's saying -- look at the history and you'll see
that towards the end, when many people were trying to give him advice,
he was quite visibly enjoying the pain he was causing people by dropping
hints he might return the cat to the shelter. Philip Arthur of Orange,
CA is ill!!

You are an incredibly good reader of character, Stacia. Just remember
this as well -- Philip Arthur of Orange, CA has made it known numerous
times, including above, that many people are in his kill file, myself
included. You'll also note, that, myself included, he time and time
again responds to those people he says he kill filed. This is a true
watermark of the depth of his trolldom. It's absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for
him to ignore anything written about him at all. He tries when his
arguments inevitably fall apart, but then Philip Arthur's illness
overrides his so-called emotionless control of things and he has to jump
back into it. It's the only thing he has. He should have our pity.....

Arthur, you truly are a moron, aren't you? You just keep going on to me
about how you know something that **I** want to know.

Here's the gist of it little guy -- I could care less about this cause,
just as you could. Mary and the women on this group is what really gets
you.

As far as me, I was the quiet guy sitting in the corner nursing a beer
when you walked in here. I actually felt sorry for you when you asked
about the Bengal. I knew exactly what you were asking.

But, the way **you** conducted yourself got **MY** attention. Now I'm on
you Arthur.

Now, could you answer the question posted above instead of just
side-stepping it with your trademark psychobabble? Why don't you harp on
the people who presently have the cat for not moving fast enough on
adopting him out? Not doing so is an admission that the only reason you
did it to Mary and her group was to get to them, and you never really
cared about the cat. Which, considering **YOU** were the one who placed
him in the kill shelter in the first place, comes as no great surprise.

While you're spinning around maniacally, trying to separate the "you
people" from the black helicopters in your delusions, you might want to
put some ointment on your own wounds. Mary's **Obviously** got you so
bitch-slapped that she's got you dancing on your strings for her like a
little Don Quixote marionette. LOL!!!

This has been the most remarkable Internet "journey" (and I use the term
loosely) I could ever have imagined.  It will be over pretty soon with
Conan's placement with person not connected with Bloody Mary in any manner.

BTW, did I ever send you the short video my wife took of Conan at our
computer?  Matter of fact, she also made one of kitten Omar at the computer
which is cute.  :^)   I think they are .mov files made with our digital

Consider this:  If you were approved to adopt Conan and then became aware of
the likes of Mary hovering around with means to make contact, would you
still adopt Conan without also getting a restraining order on Mary?

I clearly wouldn't be an appropriate candidate because I am affiliated

moot. I can not make any other speculations.

I don't care who adopts him, as long as they are good to him.

How sinister of you.

Cheryl thinks so. She told the nice people in rpca
to call in the FBI. 8)

Oh yes you do care.  You think so little of everyone's memory.

They found a bawdy alwright! He went MIA on everyone.

Lost his f.cking mind.

I suspect they changed the name so that it wouldnot come up easily on
a web search as Conan.

I'm sorry to hear that Greg already adopted. I'm sure his new cat is
happy, but I was still hoping that he could get Conan.

If they want to change their minds, I will still take him. My sister
is full, and Kira won't be happy. But we could make it work. This
house is 2000 square feet, two floors, and 4 cat trees. Two great
playmates. Steady employment and income. But I doubt they will
go with a list member.

That's a nice offer, Meghan. I really have been trying to keep up all
with all the Conan posts, but I didn't see the one where Greg had
already adopted. Is that certain? Rats, if it's true. Well, if it comes
to that, I'm sure we can raise the money (again) to fly him up to you.
We'll just have to see if the nimrods can come up with any better
alternatives in the next week for the little guy.

If not, then they'd be well-advised to take you up on your offer.

I'm not surr about Greg. Just saw a post that said he had already
adopted. And I had really continued to hope that he would get him.

I don't care about raising money. I can come up with the adoption fee,
crate, and his spot on the plane.  At this point, I am afraid to get
hopeful of anything. It really has been a rough rollercoaster ride. I
just can't stop thinking about him. Even my mom keeps asking about him
as I got her hooked on the story too. Everytime I see Booper (my
sister's cat who looks like Conan), I think of Conan.

Well, you should contact Monica then.  Just don't get your feelings
hurt if the answer is no.  Maybe since it is you and not your sister
she will say yes.

He planned to. I have been too upset to contact him since he sent me
Monica's
horseshit emails.

I hate to say it but you're probably right.

An unintended consequence of aligning with Mary and her
sycophants.

That's so nice of you, Meghan. I think he would be a happy boy with you
and the playmates -- and maybe I could come to visit!  :)

Gender: Boy
Pronunciation: KOH-nan
Origin: Irish, Scottish, Gaelic
Meaning: "Hound; high, lifted up, red warrior."
Notes: Name taken to Ireland some time after the Norman Conquest.
Saint Conan (seventh century) was an Irish missionary on the Isle
of Man. Made famous by Conan the Barbarian, the fictional
character from novels and movies in the 1980s.

Dylan (DIL-an) (Welsh) "Son of the sea." Mythology: a legendary
Welsh hero.

Well.... Conan is something of a water cat. He will carry on
about anybody taking showers and kinda likes getting a towel bath
in plain water.
