I recently got my kitten about a month ago.  At first, she used the litter
box great, but only for a week.  I used the same litter that she was used to
but it didn't seem to matter.  She is now almost 11 weeks and is spayed.  She
is still urinating in one specific room in my apartment.  I use horribly
smelling sprays that are supposed to make the cat not urinate there and it
works for the most part but ever so often i see her peeing on the floor.  The
vet thinks she is too young for a urinary tract infection but gave us some
medicine anyways and so far it is no help.  I believe that if i am in that
area where the accidents happen she is more likely to urinate in that area
even though she knows where her litterbox is and will use it if i am near it.
I have tried putting a litter box in the area where the accidents happen but
it didn't always work.  I am out of ideas and going crazy having to clean up
after my kitten so please help!  Thank you!

Can you close the room off? And use a solvent for animal urine to clean the
floor, like nature's miracle?  It might be a good idea to get her a second
litter box.  Did you try a different litter?  She's still a young kitten,
she my need you to help train her.

She does sound like she has a urinary tract infection. She should definitely
be checked for that. Also, the smell may draw her back to the area.  You
should use an enzyme cleaner to clean the area and try placing plastic
runners over the spots where she is going. Provide her with two boxes as
some cats like to pee in one and poop in the other. Use boxes without hoods
and try unscented clumping litter.

Sounds like she may need to be retrained.  Can you keep her confined to a
room for a couple days with the litterbox?  Also, make sure the spot is
thoroughly cleaned so she isn't smelling the urine and thinking that spot is
OK to go on.

Sounds to me like you should seek another opinion. When a vet or GP or
anyone else, says that they think something, what they are really saying is
that they are uncertain.
