When I play with my cats, dragging a toy attached to a wand, they like
to practice the way they pounce. They get all exotic with crazy
somersaults and stuff, and if they mess up the approach, they stop, go
back and hide in their pounce spot, and start over.
Anyone else's cats do this?

Not exactly! Ruprecht l o v e s to ricochet off of a sofa arm on his
way
to the bathroom (It's like a kid and a muddle puddle for him)
He sneaks around the corner...moves slowly towards the arm, then
SPROING!
he hits the arm, then kicks-off towards the bathroom. It's really cute.
I should move the sofa back a little every-day, just to see what length
he'd go to.
------
Your cats pouncing routine? That's a hoot!
summersaults! cats crack me up.

Yep, mine do (especially the youngest, Sammy). It's like they're saying,
"Wait, wait, do over, do over!" ;>
