Charlie is the rightful parent of Conan.

And yet, Monica having come so far, still bearing the cat, our
messenger has shown extraordinary resilience given her dillusions.

It is a burden she should never have had to bear. We can ask no more of
Monica; but to deliver the cat to Charles; by whatever means is
necessary.

All that is gold does not glitter Monica;
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be hope that was taken,
The cat shall be Charlie's once again.
