we  got this new kitten last weekend., she  turned her nose up at the dry
cat  food and the canned, we tried  those first  because that was  what we
had  handy in the house. Now  we bought her  purina one kitten formula and
she will not  touch that either. she sniffs then walks away. Oh but if you
scramble eggs she is in your lap an ready to eat. HELP shes drinking but not
eating and I am afraid she will get  sick if she doesn't soon.

Try meat baby food, sans onion powder. If she likes that, start mixing it in
with wet kitten food and gradually transfer her over. You could stick a
little egg on top for good measure.

Good advice.  You could also try a different brand.  Wellness makes a good
canned kitten food.

No, they don't.

How old is the kitten?
It may still need KMR...

We raised several healthy orphan kittens from about 1 week of age.
We started offering some wet canned food at about 5 weeks of age but
still supplemented KMR. We never totally weaned off KMR until 8 weeks.
Weanling kits got only canned food and maybe some low salt canned tuna
in water and they usually freaked over that, :-) but that is just a
treat as it was incomplete in nutrition. Also chopped steamed chicken
and stuff. Their primary diet between 5 and 8 weeks of age was a good
quality canned food supplemented with KMR. They never got interested in
dry food until they were about 10 to 12 weeks. Since we leave kibbles
down for the adults, they found it on their own and decided to eat it
when THEY wanted to.

You are just going to have to experiment with different kitten foods
until you find one that she will eat. When my male cat was eating kitten
food I went through almost every canned kitten food until I found a few
he would eat. Fortunately he was not as finicky about the dry food. He
ate Purina Kitten Chow, and Iams. If necessary consult with your vet.
Anything other than kitten food is just a short term solution, and
should not be fed to her for a long period of time.  Good Luck.

Try offering your kitten Hill's Kitten (formerly Feline Growth) canned food.
We've fed Hills kitten food to several hundred kittens - they thrived on it
and I don't think I've ever seen a kitten refuse it!

We've also fed Hills Kitten to pregnant and nursing queens and debilitated
and recuperating cats with excellent results.

Our 11 week old kitten will wolf down a *whole* can of Friskies but
will not touch dry kitten chow. His siblings have been eating dry for
the last month.
