Just wanted to say a couple of things...

First, Mary, thank you so much for caring enough to put up the $200 to cover
Conan's adoption fee, Dan's travel expenses, leash and halter, and carry
case.  I think this *does* show "it's all about the cats" for you!

To Dan, thank you so much for caring enough to do this at the same time you
were dealing with a personal injury, a life-threatening illness with your
own baby, and a job that keeps you on the road way too much.  [And Dan,
please email me privately to give me the number to call in a donation for
Conan's boarding until he can be transported to his forever-home.]

To Rhonda and Tracey Rose who are helping get air passes and arranging for
Conan's travel, thank you so much for caring enough to take time out of your
busy and hectic lives to do this.

To all the people who offered to donate their hard earned money to help get
Conan to his forever home, thank you so much for caring enough to direct
funds I'm sure you could have used in other areas of your lives.

To those of you who tried to derail this effort out of pettiness, jealousy
and hatred...

My objection to Charlie being Conan's potentional adopter had nothing
to do with any of those reasons.  It had to do with not placing a cat
in a potentially dubious home environment.

You are a good person Mary.......I knew there was a reason I fell so
hard for you........and to all the rest of you......

I will even take that finger from Catnipped but that cat didn't belong
where he was going not because of pot or the rooster but because of
all the other things.....nobody ever commented when I pointed out that
his posts about his dog being friendly to "ALL" of the people stopping
by and a couple of other comments made me believe he may be dealing
pot which to me brings it back into the picture a little bit.....when
they get caught everything is confiscated  vehicles the whole works...

Now I will take that finger again because a couple of people called
him and said "he seemed so nice on the phone".....DUH!!! Something was
wrong with that man mentally.......everyone wanted the same thing for
Conan

You WHOLE a.s

What a shallow hal man!

Damn!

I said it before; If Charlie had something to hide, YOU WOULDN'T KNOW
ABOUT IT!

How clever of everyone!
NOPE, can't get nothing over on this bunch!

You have forsaken your own hearts in the matter

we all know Charlie is a gentle man.

Lol......I hope by now you read the post he answered me with
today..that says he backslides a little once in awhile and kills an
animal just to see it bleed......now shut up......how in the hell
would you recognize a decent man in the first place....

f.ck you and the horse you rode in on, you snot-nosed punk.  If you
showed up my driveway my dog would bite your empty nutsack off.

I offered to take the cat.  When people became uncomfortable with this
arrangement because of various things I have posted over the years, I
explained myself as best I could and made it clear that I was more
than happy to defer for everyone's benefit.  So what the hell are you
trying to prove at this late date?

psst, Brad, news flash - it's over. Conan isn't going there so what Charlie
may or may not do is moot.

Brad, duh yourself.

Just chill out. This is old news. Conan is safe and you're about a week
behind in the emotion-area.

Well you didn't have to slap me in the back of the head.......people
are still asking whats going on......I think its in the 13th Conan
thread out of 21.......

Well, Brad, I was the one who talked to Charlie on the phone. I believe
I was the target of your first "DUH."

It just doesn't matter anymore. Conan is not in the shelter any more.

It's easy after the fact to criticize what people did or didn't do --
but if you're not in there trying to make a difference, don't pick on
the ones who were.

It was not difficult to see what was and was not happening at the time.

It is necessary to review and critique past performance lest the same
parties repeat their failures on the next rescue.

Newsflash for you, you moron:

pot kettle black..

cripes it was your failure that started this whole mess...

Trish:  Newsflash.  I followed the policy/rules.  You (one of the Minions)
took it upon yourself to react. There was no "mess" until you chose to
involve yourself.

Well Rhonda I don't blame you but I believe you have missed some
posts......I have thrown kudos your way at least a few times....I
didn't name people for fear I would leave one of the movers and
shakers out, I am really unsure who the players are, but at the same
time if I believe someone is making a mistake I will also say
that.....and there is little doubt he was a bad choice especially
after his last posting to me......

No a.s kissing here but I didn't expect you to think you could size a
person up with a phone call its just not possible you seem to savvy
for that especially when you had every right to be suspicious. I
realize you wanted to end this for the good of Conan and time was
running out.

My apologies if I offended you and if the "duh" related to him giving
all the right answers in an interview with the kennel all I can say is
"Duh"

As I have said everyone had the same goal here but it sure got
complicated with his postings being "real" or "humorous" that sunk his
ship as far as I am concerned and only the ones about killing animals
not the pot or rooster. And he just proved the naysayers right by
admitting he still kills animals to watch them bleed sometimes.

I think several of us have been on edge about this. Maybe most of the group.

My post about talking on the phone I thought was explanatory -- it was
not an interview, it was talking. As far as I know, I was the only one
who talked to Charlie, so I did take offense to the way you wrote about it.

It is water under the bridge now, my part is over and I would do it all
again if it would help.

No offense taken any more, it's just there was enough emotion without
things be criticized after they were done. I've done that myself a few
times though, too. Especially at work - lol!

Rhonda

PS -- got to paste your sig file up over my computer. Wait, no, over a
Harley...

I totally agree and I think it was because of the way it unfolded
before our very eyes the odds of anything happening quite the same way
are pretty long.......as I said a couple of times everyone wanted the
same end result but "gang mentality" took over......lol.....
