Problem is, people don't want to give their names.

Wow, super! I sure hope the shelter okays the transport.

I have a PayPal account. I haven't used it in a while, so I re-did the
verification process (it takes a few days), but we could use this. Dan
has my home phone number, so he can verify my existence. If people want
to use it, we can wait until Rhonda looks into a flight and the shelter
clears the cat, and then I can take donations for a few days - report
on the total - and then send a money order to Rhonda to reimburse her
for Conan's ticket and maybe a little extra for her trouble, depending
how much we gather.

Tracy, thanks so much! I was really worried about this aspect, as
nobody seems to want to handle the money, given all the hassle of it.
What a great day's work you and Rhonda and Charlie and Dan have done!
Now people will have a way to give to help Conan go to his
new home.
I'm finally off to sleep. Let's hope Rhonda gets good news from
the shelter tomorrow. I will sleep more easily knowing that this
boy's forever home is in the works!!

If we don't need that much after all, I'm sure there would be enough
from people who don't mind using their name. And with paypal, to send
money for a service, you can opt to not include your address since
there is no shipment.

I believe, with Western Union, that only the recipient has
to give a name (and show ID to collect).

OH, now I see what you meant in that last post on this topic.
I did not know that.

The shelter WILL ask for positive ID. This means a valid driver's license.
Conan is already "chipped".
