The woman I spoke to on the phone is named Jessica and if we are
interested in trying to get this cat out of the shelter and into Mary's
home (or anyone else) we should contact her supervisor, "Terry" (Teri?).
She sounded genuinely shocked when I said we were a group of people from
the internet trying to save the cat. But, apparently Conan is doing well!!!
I have to leave the rest to the experts like Phil, et al. I am clueless
on where to go from here.

Great news! I'm so relieved he's still among the living. I'm sure
he's confused about being abandoned again but, hopefully, his true home
is awaiting. I'm in moneywise but I don't know what else to do either
or what the next step would be. If we had a destination for him, it
sounds as though the $$ would get him transportation there. NC is a
long way from OC.
