Good god man - you seem like the quintessential Usenet
Kook/paraplegic/schizophrenic/mom's basement dweller.

Some of us don't have time to follow the gazillions of posts in anger
you've submitted (God forbid.. we're just looking up how to help cats)
- so as a favor to recent browsers, could you tell us the root of your
Megan-insanity?

That so many of your posts deal with
rebutting/taunting/irritating/masturbating to her posts indicate that
there's some history to this fixation.

Perhaps you could explain, to those of us who care about cats, why we
should trust you more than her, or give a tinker's sh.t about your
opinions on this woman?

Bad personal experience? Horrible Nightmare? Professional Jealousy?
Repressed homosexual rage? Rancorous divorce? Give us some background
so that we can adjudge your opinions more useful than hers.

Stories that actually have to do with cat-welfare particularly
encouraged.

You damn sure would be quivering and trembling if you came out of your
mouth like this face to face.  I assure you.

You're the moron who dumped your cat because you're too stupid to figure out
how to deal with the problem, aren't you?  IOW, you're a spineless coward
who runs away from a problem.

Ya ya. Threats over usenet are like flies on a cat sh.t.

Geez. You could try a little harder. At least Mary takes stabs at
sarcasm. You on the other hand are a typical schoolyard bully, because
your folks are mean to you or you were once frightened by a clown.

Didn't dump the cat. Ain't a moron. Not too stupid - if you'll notice
I actually solved the problem.

Na. Like I say, try a little harder - a killfile is a terrible place
for a friendship like ours to die.

I used chase away the schoolyard bullies.

You're stroking yourself. You ran away from the problem by dumping the cat
because you're too lazy, stupid and inept to solve the problem.

Although I have suspected this, I have never said it, regardless of
Brian's diatribes against me. I just honestly feel sorry for Henry--
and any cat that thinks it has a forever home and then does not.

Just to be fair...I honestly felt/still feel sorry for Lex because he
thought he had a forever home more than once and then did not. I would,
however, be horrified if you guys started calling me names and trashing
me for doing what I did. I am not, nor have I ever, taken sides with
anyone on this NG. I am here to read and learn about cats. Is it not
possible that giving up Henry was difficult for Brian and that having
people tell him what an inept shmuck he is for doing so is really only
adding insult to injury? I am quite certain that Brian did not see Henry
as some sort of pesky little "it" that was just an object to be disposed
of. He really wanted it to work.

The Lex thing STILL bugs me and going by some of the reactions here, I
should be called inept and lazy for not "figuring out how to deal with
it". But, I didn't. I'm not a cat expert. I'm not a cat shrink. I am not
a rescue organization and I don't work for one. I am simply a person who
loves cats as companions. I think it worked out just how it should have.
If I had kept Lex, the little pee pee head that he was, I would never
have had Jasper. Lex is doing "okay" at the shelter. Yeah, it's not a
life I'd like to live, but I know he wont be put down. Jasper on the
other hand had NO WHERE to go. Who would adopt a deaf, blind, old cat
with rotting teeth? Yet, I feel blessed to have him.

In the meanwhile, Megan "the terrible" (i say this in jest) has
contacted me and is going to try and get in touch with the shelter where
Lex lives and see if she cant help them. Sadly, I don't think there is
much to do. And at first I was hesitant, because if she *can* help him,
that means that I *failed* him and I hate to think that. But, I guess in
all honesty, I DID fail. That does not make me a wretched human being!!!

We are all "experts" in our own way. Sure, some of us MUCH MORE than
others. (i.e. Phil P...boy am I grateful to have him around here!!!!!!! :))
We do what we feel is "right". What is "right" for me may not be right
for "you"...but the name calling and insults around here are really bad.

OK. I dont know where that rant came from and it is not directed at
anyone in particular.

When everyone else urged Brian to give him up, I urged him to try to
find a way to keep him. It was last fall I think. And just for that, he
heaped vitriole upon me. So f.ck him.

I cannot imagine you coming off as this a.shole did just because I
suggested that maybe he might find a way to solve the problem and
not have to abandon Henry. It's all there, in Google.

But, I didn't. I'm not a cat expert. I'm not a cat shrink. I am not

Pam, you go too far afield from the topic here, but you know how I feel
about Jasper. And I know some cats have to be taken back to the shelter.
It just breaks my heart when that happens.

Again, it was not the returning of Henry that makes Brian a wretched human
being. It was his reaction to the suggestion that he keep Henry, that he
keep trying a little longer.

Rants are welcomed. :) It's all about a dialogue. Brian is still a piece of

Yeah, it broke my heart too. I cried all day and all night...and then
some. I totally failed. But at least I tried. :)

Yeah. I wanted to keep Lex longer, but DH and I were at odds by then. It
was the worst.

I've given Brian his share of "eyerolls" and stuff. I read it all and
frankly, his whole thread about Megan's house and what a cat paradise it
is made me want to gag. Not because I don't think that Megan's house
might be just that, but because I didn't need to read some stupid post
about it. But, this IS a place for posts, so whatev! :)

Consider this, Pam: I don't email anyone, unless they email me,
and then it's usually a shortish answer. I like keeping things
pretty much aboveboard--right here in the group.

I just speak my mind and encourage you--and all--to
speak theirs. The only agenda I have is the welfare
of cats.

I do not lobby people to get them "on my side."
I do not compete with people here to see who
can give the BEST ADVICE or be MORE
IMPORTANT.

You can, do, and should disagree with me! I say
get it all in the mix.

I'm not here to define my identity or make friends or
get people to call me or get people on my side. I am
using Usenet for what it is intended. The free exchange
of ideas, opinions, and information.

I sense others may be here for other reasons.

A clue for you, my washed up amateur vocalist: There is a whole

What a load of complete and utter crapola. You just increased your
plonkability(TM) tenfold.

You've been a guest in Megan's house. Don't assume we're so f.cking
stupid we think Phil never came up in the conversation.  Now you're
asking some kind, beneavolent person as a "favor"  to please direct you
to the Ancient History of Usenet archives so we can all roll around in
the sh.t yet once more.

Oh, now it's a popularity contest. Phil can submit his resume, then
Megan can submit hers, and we can all google till our fingers fall off,
and clutter up this group until it's completely impossible to wade
through it all. And you're doing this all in the name of "those who
care about cats." R-i-i-i-ght.

Are you retarded? The above is not true and I did no such thing and have
*never* posted such a thing. Ever. Not once. Phil is the only one
besides you that has made such an accusation and he is obviously
clueless about this as I have never once talked with him or emailed him
about any personal information. Never. He pulled that one out his a.s
years ago during one of his constant rampages along with other lies like
the one where he lied that I had 28 cats and all of them were feral. He
at one point threatened me and had every intention of calling a
government agency and telling lies about me to get me in trouble because
I committed the crime of disagreeing with something he said. It just
goes to show that when you tell a lie often enough, you start to believe
it. He tells a lot of lies and some day they'll catch up with him. They
always do.

Sure they do. Take a look at the thread I posted a link

Plus, come on, Steve, she would have denied it by now.
I don't care if she lives in a toilet, I just cringe when I
think about cats that cramped the way my two run
around this place like monkeys.

Did it ever occur to you witch hunters that she may be amused by the
way this particular belief of yours riles you up so much?  Why does
she have to deny it? Why does she have to admit it? She owes you
NOTHING at all.

You and Phil have missed your calling. You should have been
prosecuting attorneys. You'd have been very successful judging by the
way you go full force on discrediting someone. Nothing but a witch
hunt, and you'll probably never get the true answer. Even Brian could
have described her home if he wanted to.

Of course she owes me nothing. But she owes the cats more than that
miserable existence.

Precisely. Because she lives in a one-bedroom apartment. I have never

Good Jew, good Christian--I think "good person" is worth more
so you are in good shape.

Down here we have some very nice people, but also a bunch
of Bible-thumping hypocrites who stab one another (and everyone

Your desperation is just sad and nothing you posted refutes what I said.
I am correct in stating that Mary's claim that I posted that I had "23
cats in a one bedroom apartment" a few months ago is absolutely false
and that I have never posted such a statement. You cannot prove
otherwise because, again, I have never posted such a thing and posting
posts from 2003 where I said I have 25 isn't even relevant as we're
specifically discussing what Mary claims I posted "a few months ago."
Your reading comprehension is seriously lacking and clouded by your
obvious desperation.

I also have NEVER had 28 cats or posted that I did, and my cats were not
and are not "all" feral, as you have also claimed in the past. I don't
know where you get this stuff, since I have never posted the intimate
details of my life, you are thousands of miles away and have never been
to my house or talked to me by telephone.

nastiness and lies you've posted, you could possibly be deserving of any
answers from me, I'll be happy to tell you. :-)

LOL! There's our answer.

Now here is yours: collectors are dangerous and wind
up hurting many more cats than they help. "Permit" or
not, you are a hair away from that. Your behavior is
pathetic. You are a janitor, for God's sake.

It is sad and worrisome for the cats. That is why
how you live and where and with how many cats
is relevant to this particular public discussion.

Which is exactly why she couldn't, in good conscience, let an offer
of sending drugs over the internet to a cat who we do not know would
benefit from those drugs, receive them because Phil said Abbey needed
them. Without the mention of a vet approving them.

Get over your bitterness Mary. You know this was the right thing to
do. Luckily Candace knows too.

Bullshit.  There was no doubt in my mind - or anyone else's mind - that
Candace would check with her vet before giving Abbey any medication.  We're

That's not remotely true, you sleazy manipulating liar.  I said "I wonder
how the BOH would feel about 28 cats in a single-bedroom apartment".   That
is not a threat nor does it imply I had any intention of calling anyone.

You're a manipulating liar because you *know* goddam well I'm the *first*

You're so obsessed with discrediting me that you'll say *anything*.  You

About all what?  What were you expecting me to do?  This I gotta hear.

and the lame email where

"Presuming to know what I am thinking is laughable."  Especially since I'm
always the first one to tell people not to involve the authorities in animal
issues.  So, your little plot ain't working.

You made it clear what you were thinking and that you did indeed
initially plan to file a false report when you said you'd "get back to
me about all this on Monday" then backpedaled and said in a later email
you posted : " I'll bite the bullet on this one, for the cat's sake"
after saying

"I'm not going to wake up sleeping dogs to find out if you do - which I
could do *very* easily - and I'm sure you *know* I could."

Which garnered the following response, and she totally had you nailed:

"What is so disturbing is that you still do not realize how utterly
reprehensible and unconscionable your attacks and your threats against
Megan are. Your posted "e-mail" does nothing to mitigate your hostile
attitude. On the contrary, in it you continue your attacks and you
continue to hold your threats over Megan's head.
Nothing has changed."

Now you're hallucinating.  I never said or implied I would 'file a false
report'.  That's a downright lie.  Produce the post in which I said I would
file a false or *any* report, you sleazly liar.  I may be a prick, but
you're downright malicious.

when you said you'd "get back to
> me about all this on Monday" then backpedaled and said in a later email

That's not backpedaling, you sleazy manipulator.  I didn't believe you about
a license, but I also didn't want to take the chance- for the cats' sake-
that you *didn't* have a license because I know what usually happens to the
cats when they're confiscated from collectors and hoarders. That's the
difference between me and you- I would never let my personal feelings about
a person harm a cat or interfere with helping a cat.

You're not a registered 501(3)c non-profit rescue or animal welfare
organization so I don't know what kind of license you have other than maybe
a simple multiple pet permit- which many municipalities do issue to reduce
shelter populations- which means your ridiculous adoption contract is
completely worthless and unenforceable.
