All cats should wear proper identification.  A pet id tag is the best way to
ensure that if your cat is lost, it is returned to you.  Many municipalities
are required to hold an animal with a cat tag longer than an animal they
find without identification.  Easy to order pet tags at

It's more convenient to make your own in the machines at Petsmart, Walmart,
etc. Five bucks and no shipping, and you get them immediately. Mine lose them
too much to invest in more expensive tags.

Are you using those key ring type things to fasten the tag to the collar,
Sherry?  I've found those are pretty good for keeping the tag on the collar.

No, I generally just use the S hook that comes with them...thanks for the tip,
I think I'll try it on the d*g. (who is tagless at the moment!). but the cats
lose the whole collar, not just the tag.

Yeah I used to use the S hooks too but they always seem to fall off.  The key
ring kind are great.
