I'm not at home right now, so I can't check....

How can you tell if Wellness 5.5 oz cans were made in Canada or the US?
Are they straightforward about saying where it was manufactured? Or do they
bury the info in a code?

In retrospect, I did notice a slimy oil on the food...When I first started
using it, it was more "fluffy" or dry...very different than other cat
foods. Now it looks the same..

Not having any feeding problems, though...

I am not home now either, but I seem to recall it does say it on the
can somewhere.

The Wellness turkey flavor is still one of the only brands / flavors
my cat Elwood will eat, and he hasn't voiced any complaints yet.

It is stated on the can (near the bar code) "Made in Canada".

Interesting.   I bought two cans of Wellness from my vet (southern
California).  The "Chicken" formula (in a ferrous metal container) label
says made in Canada while the "Chicken & Lobster" formula (in an aluminum
container) label says made in USA

It is stated on the can (near the bar code) "Made in Canada".

I've been reading these posts...My cat threw up last night from the
Wellness Turkey/Salmon...I checked the label and it is made in Canada (in
tiny little impossible-to-read letters).

There is a real change in the look of the food - it is oily/slimy..They
might be using some type of fish-based oil as a preservative/moistener.

It is too late, though. I do not trust this brand anymore...The Nutro brand
works just as well, so I will bring the 10 remaining cans of Wellness back.

Two ideas:

Exchange your stuff for a different Wellness flavor that says America on the
label.
Put a can outside on the porch tonight. If you have any ferals or other
wildlife, they will appreciate your generosity.

I live in an apartment building, on the 9th floor....

Can I put the cans on a window sill to be pecked at by birds?

Put the cans in a box in the lobby of your building and label it "Free
cat food, I have switched my cat to another brand".

If the cans are sealed and undamaged, someone will take them... and some
cat somewhere will benefit.

Or donate them to a rescue group.

Hmmm. Eh, give it a try. You might be surprised at what shows up ... on the
9th floor.  Ya know, in giving this matter a few seconds thought, there is
nobody in our circle of friends living in an apartment.
