Just yesterday, my vet prescribed an appetite stimulant for my male tabby
who is going thru an upper repiratory infection. The cat (Conan) pretty much
stopped eating and was/is running a low fever. The appetite stimulant is
called: CYPROHEPTADINE, dosed at 4mg per tablet, twice a day as needed.
In addition to this stimulant, I offered Conan some "chunk light tuna pack
in water." This got his attention and he ate the whole can in less than 30
minutes.

I answered you in your other thread, "feeding tubes." As Philip said,
cyproheptadine (periactin) 4mg, about 1/4 to 1/2 tab has always worked
for the cats I've given it to, within an hour, usually about 20
minutes. It doesn't have any serious side effects; the only thing it
did for my older kitty was make him a little restless and antsy so I
try to keep the dose as low as possible to get the desired effect.
The other drug is one of the benzodiazipines (the valium family),
usually oxazepam, I believe. I have never used that as the cypro
always worked. Cypro is an antihistamine but works as an appetite
stimulant in cats.
I hope one of these works for your kitty. Get them as soon as possible
Monday.

That's what the vet prescribed for my 17 yr. old Tigger when she wasn't
eating over the winter. She started eating again shortly after taking her
1/2 pill and I didn't need to give her any more after that.
It was also prescribed for one of my foster mom cats when she had an URI and
wasn't eating.

Periactin - generic: cyproheptadin - is often used as an appetite
stimulant for cats. (It's an anithistamine for humans.) I used it
for a 15 - 16 year old cat, & it worked for her.

My vet prescribed valium for Jennifer (RB) when she was declining.

Not something I'd want to risk personally:

I don't have all this thread on my server, but the OP might want to read
other sections of that page (Persuading Your Cat To Eat, Assisted Feeding
and Appetite Stimulants):

I have a feeling that the OP's cat went to the bridge. She never
responded to any of the threads she started but then came and asked if
anyone knew of any pet loss sites a couple of days later.
