My Shamrock had his eye "hooked" by his "brother" a few months ago.
Brother had claw hooked so tight in Shamrock's eyelid that I had to
physically remove it (glad I was here).  But the damage was done. I
didn't realize he got the conjunctiva with the claw through the
upper "eyelid" and it seemed ok at first; I thought it was on his
forehead.  Next day, Shamrock had "cherry eye". Off to the vet - no
scratch on the cornea, it was the conjunctiva. Vet prescribed
clavimox and eyedrops that had to be put in 3x per day. The eyedrop
box says the brand is "Darby" and the drops are "Neomycin and
Polymyxin B sulfates and Gramicidin Ophthalmic Solution USP". As
bad as his eye looked the day after the hooking, it was clear again
before the clavimox was even gone.

As for the "pink", not sure. Tears contain protein I believe, and
its dark enough to stain fur so it might look pinkish in some
cases.

My cats all have their claws clipped every other week after that
incident.  

I wonder why your vet doesn't think its serious? Have you been
using the cream for all of these two months?

Get a referral to the vet equivalent of an eye doctor.

You want a specialist for this, not general practice.
