Some pics are posted of the stray kitten in the group
alt.binaries.pictures.animals

I sorta screwed up  posting them... one set is buried in a reply  titled
sahara & rios - sahrios2.jpg

Then  I tried stray kitten 1 and stray kitten 2 - but only 2 shows up on
my newsreader....

Hopefully, you can find the pics.

Tonite she did eat a little more food, and she drank more of the
replacement milk.  She has prob eaten about 2/3 of the can of a/d ....
and maybe drank 1/3 of the milk.

Someone said thats not enough, but she only weighs 1 pound. Right now
she is sleeping curled up in hubbys lap......

We will be in contact with our regular vet tomorrow.

(still no poop.........)

Don't worry about the poop yet. If she's not eating much she doesn't have
much to poop. You may want to pick up some nutri-cal. It's a calorie dense
supplement that will get some nutrients into her until she is eating more.
You can put a glob on your finger and 'smear' it on the roof of her mouth or
mix it in with the food or formula and get it into her that way.

I gather you've already seen a vet. Did he say what the bald spot on her
head was?

She is gorgeous.

From the pictures it looks almost like a little cut or something.

In the picture it does look like a scratch or scar, but not seeing it in
person, thought it might be worth a look-see at the vet (as the op said the
kitty was going anyway) just to eliminate any possibility of ring worm.

Please keep us posted. SHe is just so adorable. I almost think she is older
than her size suggests.

Oh, Laurie! She is a long-haired brown tabby!!! What a gorgeous girl.
I was picturing her much smaller. Did the vet really think 5-6 weeks?
She is so lucky to have you, and you her. Give your doggy a scratch for me
and tell him good job!

I will do the Ancient Poop Dance today,
to try to help bring about the desired results.
I will try to aim carefully, lest their be a poopy
pestilence across the land. ;)

Excellent news!
Rhonda - 01 Jun 2005 01:23 GMT
Ohmigawd, she is gorgeous! She's going to look like a Maine Coon, or a
Norwegian Forest cat. She is going to be a beauty.

And she's pooping and eating, how perfect! I was worried on your last
report when she was only eating 1/4 tablespoon, so I'm glad to hear that
she's attacking most of a can.

I wonder if her eyes are gray for malnutrition, if so -- it will be fun
to see what color they will be.

Can I have her?  :)   She'll be one of those picture-perfect sprawled
out on the sofa kind of cats.

Keep up the good reports!
