Kiki used to zoom around the room and jump up onto the side and
into the bathtub. One day she did that when it had water in it...
SPLASH.
She was probably wondering why there was water in the bathtub.

I realize you might mean when you are taking a bath, but that was
not Kiki's idea of fun.

Because it's fun?

Give a man a fire, he'll be warm for a while.
Set a man on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

If it's long-haired, he may be part Turkish Van.

Or if short-haired, he may be part Bengal

Or maybe he's part both :-)

Want some fun?
One day try to fill the tub with 2 inches of water without Fred knowing.

Otis fell in the bath one night, he was trying to catch the bubbles and
I hadn't yet put the cold water in, I was in the other room when it
happened. It was horrid, he walked in with steam coming off him, he
looked really funny as wet cats do, but I knew it could be dangerous so
I had to fill up the sink with tepid (I thought cold might give him a
heart attack) water just to cool him down, which he hated. He walked
on tiptoe for a few days where his feet were burned, and never sat on
the side of the bath again. I also learned not to put the hot water in
first any more just in case.

You were lucky. This is one of those "indoor perils" one never
thinks of. When I used to take baths I always put both cold and
hot in at the same time.

Key phrase: "used to".
This explains the funkyness. ;)

You know, I almost added that I have taken
showers for years, because I figured somebody
would say this! Figures it's you. :)

But of course.

Now, you Canadjuns might be able to get away with that but here in
Amurrica they run us out if we get funky enough. Into Canada. :)

Hey, want to see funk? Go visit the nearest truckstop and hang around in
the driver's lounge for a while.
You see, it gets cold up here in the winter time so the pipes coming
into the igloo usually freeze up.

How would you know? Stop hitting on truckers. They have enough problems
already.

I medically retired after 10 yrs with JB. I stayed out the low rent truck
stops which is where you'd find livestock drivers. P.U.

My cat does this too but after a shower. He also likes to drink the
water after I've got out. I think he likes it because it smells like me
and it's a good way to get freshly drawn water. He also drinks the
toilet water too but that's a whole other discussion!
KittenLover&Breeder - 31 May 2005 21:19 GMT
LOL my daughter just got out of the bath and guess what Fred went and
jumped in needless to say it didnt take long for him to get out of the
water LOL too funny LOL...

I think they want to get in and get all that cat spit off of them.
I don't think cats are scared of water. Some animals love the water
many don't. You never see a squirrel doing the backfloat, but you might
see a black lab jumping in the creek just for the fun of it.
So, I'm thinkning one of two things.
They are either helping us not to drown, like a shower maid, someone to
say don't fall asleep in there, or Meow meow "be careful".
or, they want to get in, but need some coaxing.
