Phil recommended Denosyl and Ursodial. The vet said Denosyl is special
order, so I can't get that one right away. They said health stores
should have the Ursodiol, but that it may be hard to find as they
believe it has been compounded now.

So, I welcome any suugestions for chain stores that would probably
carry it. I couldn't find it today, but some of the store aren't open
on Sundays. My mom will try for me tomorrow since I have to go to work.

The vet also recommended Milk Thistle, and I did get that one today.
But I forgot to ask her for dosage amounts on that one, and I can't
call until tomorrow. I'd like to go ahead and give him some now. The
capsules I have are 175mg. I did go ahead and sprinkle some into water
and used a syringe to get it in. I had to put some antacid in too. I
wasn't sure how much to give, so I only put a 1/3 of teh capsule in,
and I didn't give all of it to him yet.

I will try the baby food in a few minutes. He licked off some juice
from the chicken I made earlier, but he vomited about 20 minutes later.
I want to give the antacid a chance to work. Hopefully, I can shove
some of the baby food down in the syringe and then get him to eat some
food on his own.

I found this site that may be helpful:

Have you tried a Whole Foods Market (if you have one in your area)?

You can order denosyl here:

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/entirelypets/denosylsd4.html

You can order Ursoliol (Actigol) and denosyl from Island Pharmacy @

Make sure the baby food contains no onions- toxic to cats.

Feed him very slowly so he doesn't choke or aspirate the food into his
lungs.

Best of luck,

Phil

Thanks. My mom checked two stores this morning, and they sent her home
with Lipotropic, which doesn't seem to be what we want at all. They
recommended it because it has choline.

Yep. I found 3 flavors that should be good for him, all without onion.
Unfortunately, the small amount I got in him has been puked back up. I
waited about 45 min after giving him the antacid, hoping that would
settle his stomach. The only thing he has kept down okay is the
antibiotics.

I give him small squirts so he can hopefully taste it and decide to eat
it more willingly. No luck so far on that.

Overall, I think he is going downhill. He isn't keeping anything down.
His ears are still bright yellow. And he fell down while vomiting. I
picked him up so that he wouldn't choke if he vomited again. And he
stayed on his feet okay. And he still does the stairs okay. But he is
obviously weak.

I will give another update late tonight. I have to go to work today, so
my mom will be watching him for me.
