That makes me sick. Absolutely sick. Proof positive that the capacity
for cruely knows no nationality.

Yes, this is one of the most grotesque, absolutely *sick* cases I have ever
heard of.

Absolutely.  So much for the idealistic picture she was trying to paint of
NZ.

Makes me want to jump on a plane and dispense some excruciatingly painful
ancient Asian justice for about a month.

Yup, it is. That's why it made the news. Sick, unusual stuff does.

And, more importantly, that Ashley is full of sh.t when she
claims there is little or no abuse in NZ.

Its easy not to find articles she doesn't want to find or read.

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT RE ANIMAL ABUSE.

That made me cry.
(how come I get yelled at when I post links like that with no warning, eh?)

I could tell what it was by the headline and stopped reading. I don't think
I have yelled at you, but I will say that the disturbed feeling I had from
your
cat torture story was front and center for a long time. In any case, though
I don't want to read stuff like that I do not believe it is anyone's
responsibility
to "protect me" with a disclaimer. I'd rather use my brain.

Heh. Two reasons. One, I don't ever yell at Phil. Ever. He saved Yoda's
life and that makes him, like, my cat's Godfather or something.
Second, that was one of the first posts I read since I've not had
internet access since friday. The damn gophers chewed the phone line
again. I was just happy to be reading *anything*.  :-)

Phil was trying to prove a point, not shock us w/gore; I
am sure he is Godfather to a lot more cats than Yoda, whether he likes it or
not.....now if he could only do something about your OK gophers (remember
Caddy
Shack?....don't try this @ home....)LOL.

That's because you're gutless.

I wouldn't click it.  Nothing surprises me anymore, but I just don't
need to see it or read it anymore, either.

And it's generally just good netiquette in any newsgroup to add headers
when posting stuff about abuse or gore.  It's just common courtesy.  If
you got yelled at, it should have been a request or gentle reminder
instead.

Yeth, Lynnie. We are all little lambs with nosebleeds.

I was mostly joking. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
(It sucks that you can't hear tone of voice in type)

It also sucks that Lyn is dimwitted and has no sense of humor,
but there is nothing you can do about that either. :)
