Kitty nightmares.

To preface this, I've said here before that when we adopted Delilah and
Stella, we almost weren't allowed to take them both because the woman at the
shelter said the older one would kill the younger.

They proved her wrong almost immediately when Delilah (the older) did her
bit in litter training Stella. She would sit outside the box and if she
didn't hear scratching, would tap Stella's head if she tried to get out.
After a while of that, she would get in the litter after Stella did scratch
and check to make sure the job was done properly. There area  million
stories like that.. but tonight was a topper.

The cats were curled up on the bed sleeping/dosing side by side with their
heads together. This is normal. I went to lie with them for a while and give
them some ear rubs. Since Stella was asleep, I left her alone and spent time
with Delilah. Suddenly, Stella began to twitch in full dream mode but I
think it was more nightmare as she began to sound like she was giving
distress meows in her sleep and her legs started really moving. Delilah put
her paw on Stella's shoulder and began to lick her face until she woke up.
Stella awoke a bit confused but looked into the eyes of her adopted sister
and you could SEE the appreciation. They gave each other a bit more grooming
and Stella cuddled a little closer to Delilah and went back to sleep again
as Delilah watched on.  Cats never cease to amaze me.

That woman thinking the one cat would *kill* the other never ceases to amaze
me. I'm so glad you got them both.

I wish my two cats would get along like that. My two antagonize and avoid each other.

Heh.  Take a few pics of them cuddling and bring them back to the
shelter worker.  That woman needs to be educated!

LOL funny you should say that... we did  just that about a month after they
were adopted. It was a photo with them sleeping so close to each other,
you'd swear it was one cat. We sent it on a letter saying "thanks" and a
friend said they had it posted on their bulletin board when she went to pick
out her cat.
